The Modern Antique Project creates limited capsule collections of furniture inspired by antiques.
Our founder, Chatty Knight, worked for an interior designer before moving to a bespoke furniture maker in London where she honed her talent for design while creating elegant pieces for both residential and commercial projects around the world.
And who do The Modern Antique Project make designs for? Everyone who wants something a bit different in their house, something timeless.
We love a adding colour to our home, and so we reproduce antiques that suit colourful wood paint finishes and beautiful patterned fabrics.
For our first collection we reproduced three pieces of antique turned furniture to create our bobbin chair, ottoman and side table. To find out more about the history of turned furniture.
